Put both pages in sight.

Open two website tabs
Start with the page you want to work on and the reference you want beside it.

Choose the second page
Use the split-view button beside the address bar, or right-click a tab and choose Open in Split View.

Make room for the details
Drag the divider. Click either page to focus it; the address bar and Page tools follow the active pane.
Keyboard controls
Small adjustments. No guesswork.
Focus the divider with the keyboard. Use Left/Right for side-by-side pages, or Up/Down for stacked pages.

Beyond side by side
Stack, swap, and pick up where you left off.
- Stack or swap. The split menu switches to a stacked layout, swaps the pages, or returns to one page.
- Survives a restart. Your pair, layout, order, and proportion are restored after a restart.
- Ends cleanly. Selecting a third tab exits the pair. Closing either pane gives the remaining page the full area.
What happens in the recording
Two local example pages start at an even split. A mouse drag gives the implementation about two-thirds of the space. Two Shift + Left adjustments narrow it again. A double-click restores equal panes.
